The drowning beauty.
She wore blue.
She played with people.
She thought they were toys.
She drank and swore.
But her beauty allowed.
Allowed too much.
She had powers most disbelieved of existence.
Everybody loved but feared her.
Her and her powers.
She wore a silver ring.
Which always reflected the sun.
It was the only sign she was human.
The ring was now on the bottom of the pool.
As she floated.
Floated towards a light.
The light of humanity.
But she couldn’t reach it.
She wasn’t allowed to.
The light rejected her.
So she gasped for air.
Dragged herself out of the pool.
And drowned herself in martinis.
